Glad to hear that your niece is doing okay. My son and his wife have decided not to get the H1N1 shot for themsleves or their son, my grandson, who is a year and a half. She is in a nursing program and he's in the engineering program at UMass Lowell…

we didn't have the shot......Will i feel guilty if one of my children die, knowing i could have avoided it, yes, i probably would. But i would also feel guilty if i put my kid on the school bus and it crashed. Why didnt' i get the shot? I'm not sure…

Always listen to your chidren and what they have to say. Begin doing this as soon as they start communicating. If and when they interrupt you, and they always do, I believe as long as you teach them how to politely "wait for a break" in the conversation and how to use the words "excuse me" it is so important to hear what they have to say. Typically, we've been swapping ms by group email from our home accounts, but posting critiques to the boards here. I like your way a little better -- makes it easier for me, since I have to keep track of all those email accounts the other way. Here, NESCBWI does it for me!

So far we have shared manuscripts via email and then posted feedback on these boards. This may change in the future as we are expanding the group. I'll be sending out an email to everybody in a few days to get everything straight, after members have had a chance to give me some feedback.
