Thanks Amanda and Jennifer. I removed the images of the babies as I think they still have further along to go. I am adding some line drawings of more images and ideas I had in the fantasy realm.... I will give myself a deadline of the end of Octob...

Kristina, I'm no expert but I think this shows something about you as an artist. The more experienced folks may correct me, but I have similar representational pieces in my portfolio (which I am STILL pulling together.. sigh!). I met a group of il...

Hi Mohita, You have a very bold and unique style! I can tell that you are striving for clear and graphic representation in your images. The eyes on the babies are very intense - I look at them right away. Those plus the dark backgrounds make for ...

Thanks Amanda, I was thinking that I could redo all the baby opposites on white or pastel coloured paper... so thanks for that point. Finally, I made the same observation about flat colours in the balloon image too... and the funny thing is, that'...

I think that the idea of having images created on black gives a lot of contrast especially with the white lines but I think the over all look is a little dark. If this is for a baby book I think it really needs to be lightened. Perhaps you could c...

Hi, Here are some of the works I am considering for my portfolio. They are still incomplete, and I need brutal honesty from the more experienced among us, so that I am not ignoring why some of these might not be worthy of showing. I would like to ...

Thanks Ann Marie. I'm working on the site as well - but building up the artwork first. I will post some initial pics of my WIP for all your valuable feedback. Thanks.

Thanks Jennifer!

I'm pulling together my portfolio, and was wondering if my work should be of a certain size. I'm aiming to get 15 pieces done and then chose the top 12. Can anyone give me any tips? P.S: I wish I'd known about Ann Marie's 3 week challenge earlier....

Hi Mohita,
Thanks for your note! It does sound like we have a lot in common. I usually try to attend the annual NE SCBWI conference in spring, so maybe we can meet up then.

Thank you Mohita, your work is very nice. I didn't hire anyone to do my website. I did it myself using Dreamweaver. It helps if you draw out what you want on paper before you start coding.

Hi Mohita, I love your work!
As for the website, I used www.otherpeoplespixels.com - it was really easy and since I just didn't have time to build one myself it was great at the time. The only problem is, once you notice other people that used the same service, you realize all the websites look very similar. But it did help me to just get something out there, and it's pretty cheap too.
